Choose the Payer While Creating a Split
One of the most requested improvements is finally here.
When creating a new split, you can now select the person who actually paid for the expense. Instead of creating the split first and updating details later, you can record the payer during the split creation process itself.
This small change makes a big difference. Everyone in the group immediately knows who covered the expense, making repayment calculations clear and reducing confusion. Whether it's a friend paying for dinner, a roommate covering utility bills, or a colleague booking travel expenses, Sharepay records everything accurately from the beginning.

Settle Up Directly from the Split Details Screen
We've also made settling payments much faster.
The Split creator can now settle a split directly from the Split Details screen. There's no need to switch between different pages or search for settlement options elsewhere in the app.
Once members have completed their payments, simply open the split and use the Settle Up option to mark it as settled. This streamlined workflow helps you close expenses quickly while keeping your records updated.
It's a faster, more intuitive way to manage group expenses from a single screen.
